This blog is a proxy for an anonymous inmate in the Texas Penitentiary. Because “Texas Inmate” cannot speak directly to the outside world, this blog will be his soapbox.
What you will read is a true portrayal of prison life and politics. You will read about everything from daily happenings to philosophical revelations, such as the paradox of freedom. This blog will be your looking glass in to the absurdity of prison life.
You will learn of its political, logistical and sociocultural aspects. You will meet the kinds of people who dwell in prison. From the evil and corrupted, to the few who don’t belong, and especially the majority who turn into products of their environment.
You will learn about how one particular prisoner, Texas Inmate, is trying to circumvent the absurdities of his situation by taking college courses, investing in the stock market and planning for a future beyond his confinement.
Everyday will bring a new story. And for those interested, check in for “Stock Tip Tuesday” and "Scathing Indictment Wednesdays." Although locked up, Texas Inmate has an outstanding track record as an investor in “the world.” With no formal training, Texas Inmate has collected roughly a 21% annual return over the last five years from investing. So check in every Tuesday for a nugget of informal knowledge.
If you like a story, or just want to ask Texas Inmate a question about life on the inside, simply respond to one of his postings or email prisonproxy@gmail.com, and he will do his best to get back to you.
Thanks for reading.
